Winter Vegetable Garden Tips

We live in the southern United States and have moderate temperatures during the winter. We are planning to grow a bunch of vegetables that winter that do well in cool or cold weather.

Cold weather vegetables that can handle temperatures as low as 26 to 31 degrees include broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, chard, lettuce, mustard, onion, radish, and turnip.

Cold weather vegetables that can resist even lower temperatures include carrots, brussels spouts, collards, kale, parsley and

spinach.

If you live in an area that has moderate temperatures, why not raise some vegetables that winter to help save money while giving your family some fresh, organic produce.
